“Smera” means smile in Sanskrit, the wine that makes you smile!
Aroma, of black cherries and licorice, soft and approachable wine with great structure and a round finish. This Pinot Noir is a blend of Pommard, 115 and 777 clones and it fermented in 33% new french oak medium toasted barrels.
Smera Vineyards is located in McMinnville AVA in Willamette Valley, situated at 600 ft elevation with Jory, Nekia and Geiderman soils. During the grow season it gets hot during the days and Van Duzer winds kicks in the evening cooling the vines. The vineyard is farmed organically and wine is made with naturally available yeast.
